Brightness is measured in lumens, but these are the measurements to look for:
- Color Brightness - Color Light Output
- White Brightness - White Light Output
Many projector manufacturers provide only one brightness number. If you see only one number, it's a white brightness measurement.
With high Color Brightness, you'll see vibrant, realistic colors. When Color Brightness is low, colors can look dull and dark, skin tones can be reproduced poorly and important details can be lost. Instead of measuring just white light, a new international standard was developed to measure the brightness of red, green and blue light. This value correctly describes the overall brightness of the projector, not just the brightness of the white, and provides projector buyers critical information.Watch Video
