Can the software save files to a network drive to be viewed from more than one computer?

This is done in Epson Scan by clicking the File Save Settings folder button. In this Window you should see options such as jpg, tiff, pdf, etc.. There is also illustrations in the reference manual that should be installed on your computer during initial setup.

File size

How compact are the PDF files. The problem with the portable scanner I have now is that it makes each page a very large PDF file so when I merge the files into one PDF I end up with a HUGE pdf file that can't be emailed and takes up a lot of room on my computer's memory. The epson sounds like I could scan mutliples pages into one PDF file but I'm curious as to what size that PDF file would be and what the resolution would be.

The size of file will depend greatly with the resolution you have selected. We would recommend for a general text tocument 50-150dpi. This should make a very small pdf file.

Can you scan a passport through this scanner?

I have seen different measurements for the maximum thickness this scanner can take, although it's hard to measure the exact thickness of a passport. Has anyone tried scanning a passport through this scanner? And if so does it work with decent image quality?
