With any type of imaging issue, the first step is a nozzle check. If this check looks good, cleanings will not help or resolve the issue as the printer hardware is working correctly and the issue is elsewhere.
To help isolate, you would want to print a web page from a simple browser. With Internet Explorer or Safari, choose a webpage that has both text and graphics and use the photo paper. If this looks correct, it is a setting wihtin your application itself.
Also note, when using a higher end imaging application, be sure to turn Epson color management OFF in the driver. If left to ON, there will be a double profiling which will skew prints.
