I have been useing my Epson Workforce 435 for 14 months. Now suddenly it has stopped working. When testing all ntwork connection items PASSED. The message is 'A router/access channel conflict has been detected. If you have problems printing or scanning, improve your wireless network inviroment.' I cannot print or scan. Everything is set up as it has been for months. I set the computer right next to the printer....no good. At my computer communication has stopped causing the printer document window to start in printing mode then read ' printing error.' Scanning... a printer cannot be detected. Check ink level...no ink... all cartridges are new. I have uninstalled and tried to reinstall all new updates...can't do this because no printer can be detected...so I I had to restore files from an earlier date to get my printer back into my files. I have done a spooler check. I have actually tried everything.....Any ideas?

This message shows there has been an increase of background wireless noise to your area and the printer is having a hard time understanding your router. Keep in mind this is similar to multiple very loud radios playing different music at the same time. You may be able to hear your 'one' radio, however you can not understand it due to all the background noise. Placing the printer closer usually does not resolve the issue as it still can 'hear' all of the other radios playing loud to not 'understand' your own. You may want to move the router or printer to a different room, or even run cable if the background noise can not be eliminated.

I can not print because the sheet feeder suddenly started jamming. It will begin to feed the paper but then will catch and wont feed the sheet. The feeder continues to sound like it is turning but the paper will not move. This printer is 11 months old and used for home use only.

I have had this same problem. Epson has replaced my machine under warranty 3 times. All have the same problem, Call Epson. Your machine is still in warranty with only 11 months. Maybe Epson will replace it.
Apparently the document feeder on this model is of poor quality. That is apparently what you get for buying an inexpensive product. Usually Epson has better quality, but not on this product.

There are two ports. 1 has a picture of a phone. Plug your phone into this port. The other port goes to your phone line jack in the wall. This is the jack your disconnected your phone from. Epson supplied an extra phone cord just for this.

Depending on the computer used, you would want to Run Epson Scan Settings. This utility will set Epson Scan to the correct printer. If this does not see the scanner as Scanner1, there may be a connection issue or other item involved. Any time the printer does not scan, this setting should be checked.

It tells us we only have black and it can temporarily print, if we want push OK. When we do that, it says do you want to replace the cartridge now? Yes - 1; No - 2. We press "2" and sometimes it prints but usually it doesn't.

From your description, the printer say it only has black ink cartridge installed and the color inks are expended. Replacing the black ink would not resolve the issue and you would need to replace whichever color is needed. This is why the temporary print option appeared.

Definitely! By setting on a network, all users of that same network can have full access to all functions of the scanner and printer. This is true of all of our wired and wireless models and the same network can use both Mac and PC at the same time.
