This cable is used when connecting the projector to another input device (computer, dvd player, etc) that is also HDMI. If you are using only a dockable mobile device (ipad, etc..) the cable is not needed.

Cords

This projector came with the power cord but is there a compartment or holder on the projector that I could stow the cord away without having to unplug and store separately? Second question - screen - is it absolutely necessary for me to have a screen in order to project anything? Can I project onto either a wall, glass siding, etc.?

There is no built in compartment for the cord.

Yes, you can project on a wall but I would think anything other than white would effect the color balance of the image. A screen, or white surface, seems to me to be preferable.

For power cord and remote storage, you would want to place in a bag or other storage area. Another option would be to use the original box if long term storage.
While we recommend a screen for best results, you may use a white wall or other type of flat object if you prefer.

Does the included remote control advancing Power Point slides on a PC?

I have used other Epson projectors that load a piece of software onto the PC when connected via the usb cable so that the remote can be used to advance Power Point slides. Does this projector do that? If not, do you have another with built in speakers that do that?

Hello, my name is Syd and I am with Epson America.

As this model is designed to be table mounted, the tilt angle is done by the feet. Upside down ceiling mount would cause the docked Ipad or mobile device to fall.
If you have a different model, there may be a dial on the top of the projector that moves the lens to get the desired angle.
You may want to call in for support using the toll free Private line card for more features of your model.

As the main feature of this model is to quick connect or dock a mobile device, external audio is not supported. For this feature you would want a model that has audio out and HDMI. Using an HDMI adapter from your mobile device (or computer, dvd player, etc..) you would then be able to use your home or own sound system through the aud out.

Once connected, the menu should appear. This could be an incorrect or app setting on the iPad or an issue with the dock itself. At this point please contact the toll free Epson support number listed on your private line card that came with the projector. Can you help explain how to reverse the projection image?

I would like to project from the rear to our outdoor screen. I can see there is a menu option to change projection but it is greyed out? Is this not an option on this projector or is there a setting somewhere that over-rides this option?

There are some pictures on the net that show a 1/8" output, however, 90% of the other images and the one I own does not. My workaround is to take the output direct from the device I'm using, which doesn't help with HDMI sometimes, but it works.

I will say though, the built in speakers are pretty powerful and a decent quality. I used mine outdoors, and although the speakers were turned away from the audience with almost nothing to bounce off of, it was still pretty loud and could hear it clearly over an A/C unit.

This model is has built in speakers and does not have an external audio port as some if our other projectors do. If you want to use a high end home audio system, we do have many projectors that do not have any built in speakers.

Faint light around the screen

There is a faint light around the screen(all four sides) and gets tilted when i adjust the keystone or re position the projector.Is it default for this projector or some settings need to be done to fix this?

The keystone and lighting could be due to several issues. At this point we would recommend contacting Epsno support when in front of your projector to help isolate the issues. They will ask questions such as angle of projector positioning, screen size and distance, room background light environment, etc.. The toll free tech support number with PIN code is on your Private Line Card that came with the projector or you may call 562-276-1305.
