The projector may be connected to your cable or satallite box and used in place of your TV. The connection type or adapter would depend on your box's capabilities.
Normally this is done by running the video directly from a controller to the projector. This way the sound can go to your home stereo and not the projector.

As Apple has changed the iPhone 5 to a smaller connector, an adapter would be needed to the older iPhone 4 and previous style port.

Our library uses a MP-50. I just ran a slide show from windows and the pause/play, next and back butons would not work at all.

All other remote button worked fine.I tried several different setting on the slide show on my computer and still could not use those three remote buttons.

Syd is incorrect. I have been in conversation with Epson over this point. There is NO audio out possibility for the MegaPlex MG-50. Why any device with an iPod dock would not have a way to connect it to speakers is beyond me, but it does not. So you either have to use the built in speaker, which is only practical for home use And if you are sitting behind the projector, OR you have to ditch the dock, use a separate cord, and plug only video into the projector and reroute the audio to a mixer. This projector is not ideal for any kind of public area or to use for a karaoke business.

No, this model has a built in dock in which a mobile device (such as an ipod) can be inserted. The dock would be upside down and allow the mobile device to fall out. If looking for a ceiling mounted model, we have a full line without the dock. Pleaes contact 1-800-GO-EPSON and a rep will be happy to assist.

The MG 50 has one HDMI and RCA/component jacks (Yes, Yellow) as well as an iPhone dock. I've watch NetFlix via my iPhone, blu ray by HDMI, and TV thought RCA jacks.
