How would a vcr picture look?

I am planning on connecting a VCR to the unit to view movies.

Will the unit upscale the picture to 1080 as my Plasma TV does and fill the entire pixel area or will it put black bars on top and bottom of the picture

This would depend on the source aspect ratio and not the 1080 resolution. If the image is sent as a 4x3 or 16x9, there will be black bars. This projector is designed for 16x10 format.

We do not have an audio output on this model. In general we recommend running audio from your input device direclty to your speakers and not including the projector. Adding additional devices and connectors will add noise or static that can decrease the sound integrity.

Can I use this projector in a 240 volts power outlet?

I purchased this projector from Bestbuy approx 1 yr ago. Now I will move back to India permanently, where I only will have 240 volts power outlet. Can I continue to use my projector in India?

In the projector menu that can accessed by the remote or buttons on the projector itself, there is a normal or ceiling setting. This setting will invert the image so it may be mounted upside down.
This settings has been included in nearly all of our projectors for many years.

Yes, there is a physical slide on the top of the projector that will change the screen size. We have an easy to use image distance calculator link at the right side of this page. Enter in your projector type and distance, will give you full range of screen size. Or you may enter your screen size and see distances you would want to place the projector.

If you have an open wall, with a big enough area, I would suggest painting a screen on - we did this and LOVE it! The results were fantastic and it's cheaper than a screen.
