Hello, my name is Syd and I am with Epson America
This is found in the main menu of the projector itself. Use the remote or buttons on the projector and scroll to the Security Tab. In here you will find the security type, passphrase and other network information that someone may have entered in already to the projector.

This model only has an audio IN port and not Out. This may be why the external speakers do not work. For using sound we recommend connecting the speakers direclty to the source itself and bypassing the projector completely. This will eliminate any electrical noise or signal loss that is common when adding devices.

No, you may connect from computer to computer. The only time the key needs to be connected into the projector, is when there are network changes inside the projector itself.

Yes, you may purchase a ceiling mount (depending on what type of ceiling you are using) and mount the projector. In the projector menu, there is the option of inverted image as the projector will be upside down.

Q:
When I attempt to use the projector it is displaying vertical, light blue lines. I can't get rid of them. I tried using a different VGA cable but it made not difference. I used a different (older) projector with the same notebook PC (MacBook Air 2012 using VGA) and the older projector worked just fine. I just bought this projector this past weekend and brought it with me on a business trip. Major fail! I will return it for a refund when I get home. But I thought i would see if anyone knows why this is happening.

From your description, there is a hardware issue with the projector itself. We can only recommend contacting the support line on the Private Line card that came with the unit for an immediate warranty exchange.

In order to run actual Power Point saved files on the projector, you would need the Microsoft Power Point Program installed on the projector itself. The same would be the case if running Excel, Word, Acrobat, etc files... This is why we can view image files such as the standard JPG format.
We do offer the very easy to use EasyMp Slide Converter software in which you can drag the finished Power Point presentation and it will automatically save to one SIT file that the projector will understand. This software can be found on the CD that came with the projector or available for download on the website.
