A good scanner for hard copy photos
I have only used this scanner for digitizing my hundreds of hard copy photos, but I am pleased with its performance. Four snapshots at a time is a real convenience and the selectable resolution makes it possible to minimize the scanning time for less demanding projects. User interface is relatively easy to handle, and operating instructions relatively clear.

I just got the scanner today and have been using it non-stop. Scanned photo images are very good, buttons/controls are intuitive and the software installation was easy. The USB and power cable connections are in a strange place compared to other products I've used, but have no impact on the scanner's functionality.

Excellent scanner easy to use great results
Excellent scanner easy to use great results I have used this scanner and found it very easy to use and set up and the software supplied is excellent as well can't beat it for quality and price.

Horrible
I searched for every update available, OS & Driver, and I installed, reinstalled, and reinstalled the scanner's software. I used new cables and cables from my other equipment which I knew worked. This scanner NEVER WORKED. I am a photographer and I've used lots of neg scanners. I have never had one not even start. I haven't even had a piece of technology JUST NOT WORK. Usually I can figure out what is going wrong. On top of that, my husband is IT/computer science specialist. I missed some serious deadlines. It's just a scanner. A scanner, Epson. How hard is it to make that work. I returned it and will NEVER buy Epson equipment for myself or my store again.

Epson Perfection V330 Photo Scanner
We have been using two of these scanners to scan literally thousands of slides that are from over 30 years ago. They do a great job on restoring the slides. Be sure to clean slides first or it restores color to the fuzz on the photos.

Fills a need
Many older people remember and have 35mm slide pictures who would like to file them on their computer. The Epson V330 does this very well.

It took me a while to figure out how to set up the scanner to scan negatives, but now that I figured it out, it's great! I do wish it came with better directions.

Very good, so far
My V330 is a very good scanner for the money. Photo scans are automatically enlarged, which saves a lot of time. I'm very pleased with the quality of photo scans. I have scanned several color slides with excellent results. I haven't tried scanning 35 mm negatives, so i can't comment on that feature. I feel I made a great buy.
