Great Scanner
I really like this scanner. It is very easy to use and I love that is powered by USB. I have to scan documents everyday and this little scanner so far makes it fast and easy.

Epson mobile scanner is my sanity saver
Best invention since computers. The Epson mobile scanner is the size of a 3-hole punch and a fraction of the weight. I've been scanning and organizing 50+ years of accumulated photos and documents. Color and print come out clear and true to the original. Scanning is easy and fast. It's so much easier and enjoyable to view the results on screen than in albums, boxes or file cabinets. The only improvement I'd recommend is to make the continuous feed a bit less sensitive.
I hate clutter and getting all this stuff onto a gizmo the size of my thumb (thumb drive) is a wonderful sanity saver. Everyone should get one.

Awesome scanner0
I bought this scanner a week ago and I am using it to scan all of my pictures before digital and loving it! I have scanned over 1000 pictures.
At first I was getting a white streak and my husband adjusted the scanner to 600 dpi and under size we created a 3x5 and 4x6. This way the scanner knows exactly what size you are scanning and the white streak no longer shows up.
and YES the instructions for this product are not clear and not sufficient. Reason why I am only giving 4 stars. For someone he is not tech savvy is difficult to figure it out.

Not for beginners
Good for experienced computer users.
The instructions are not good at all.
E.g., there is clear warning (with figure) to install the CD before USB connecting the device.
However it never says when or how to connect. If one waited for that, one will not scan a thing.
You need to have a clear space for the paper scanned, otherwise it is likely to signal a paper jam. Once this happens, it is easy enough to scan over; however, erasing the partial page cannot be done right away.
Scanning a multi-page document requires ignoring that the computer says it is always on page 1, and shows that page. Have faith that the whole thing will be there at the end.
Speed and quality of output are fine.

I haven't had this scanner long enough to fully give a complete review. I did try it and it works very nice, better than I expected. Takes very little room and the results are clear and precise. I do not use a scanner much, but want one there when I have a need. This one seems to do nicely, but will no more after a few months.

Portable Scanner
I just hooked it up and used it for the first time. For it seemed super easy to use and set up my files. I am glad that we did this it will make our bill storage much better.

Epson DS-30 Scanner
Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. I have typewritten 17 years of my daily journal and am scanning it into my computer via the Epson Scanner. Since 2000, it is digital. I will complete my 17 years early in 2013.
