Epson WorkForce WF-3540 All-in-One Printer
Great price for the speed and options provided. Common sense setup instructions. Great machine for the home office.

Love the two-sided printing!
I have owned this printer for about one month. It is used at home only. I am very happy with the ability to scan multiple pages, and the double-sided printing. It seems to be a bit more stable with respect to my network connection, as well (previous printer seemed not to be ready via wireless rather too often). The only oddity I have noted is that when you lift the cover to place something on the glass, a door/chute in back falls open (no impact on printer function). Have not tried faxing.

Number One Printer
This is my second Epson printer. I had a wonderful experience with my first Epson printer that I chose this wireless Epson WorkForce 3540. I could not get over the clarity of the print job. If I did not know the WorkForce was an ink jet printer I would have said the quality of the print was more like a laser printer. The set-up of the print was a breeze.
Epson you did it a gain I rate you A+

Last printer you will ever need
where do I start? The WF-3540 is suitable for small offices that need dependability and performance. I use it as my home personal printer. I bought it because I could no longer print anything on my old printer (Lexmark 5560) when pressing "print" from my pc (or any pc) even after repeatedly uninstalling and reinstalling the software. The WF-3540 installed first time with no problems and it was very user friendly. The multiple features was what caught my attention with it's 500 sheet capacity and automatic double sided printing, scanning, copying. Wi-Fi hooked up great and I was printing from my Android in minutes. Awesome! An additional feature you rarely find on other printers is the USB port where you can plug in your thumb drive and print straight from that. The printing speed is the fastest compared to other similar models in its category and the quality is better than what one would expect. I have printed many photographs with this printer and unless you are an ultra picky professional photographer you would never believe the quality and clarity it produces. I was impressed. But the biggest feature of all that sold me was the fact that you can purchase extra high capacity ink color cartridges so you aren't running out of ink after printing a few photos. (I'm still on my original cartridges) And the price of the cartridges was less than I expected to pay too. The price of the printer itself was way lower than one would expect to pay, for a printer that has all these features. Epson really hit the nail on the head with the WF-3540, sure to be a popular favorite for many.

Epson WorkForce WF-3540 All-in-One Printer
The key to the use of a new printer is how intuitive the process can be and 3540 fulfills that requirement. Installation of cartridges was a snap and the on screen display made the steps easy. Software installation was easy as well. The best part was during registration I did NOT have to enter the serial number as it self populated.

My faithful All-in-One printer gave out after several years of good service. Upon studying other printers, I decided on this one because it will print on 2 sides or one side and has two paper trays. I have not had time to use it, as I've just installed it, but am looking forward to many years of satisfied printing and also creating photo colored flyers for our art business. Presently I am waiting on new ink cartridges and learning the set up procedures as it is not printing properly yet. My niece sold Epsons years ago, and this one is expected to serve my needs well. So my rating is honest until I have a chance to test the printer more. va

Excellent unit. Would give it 5 stars if it didn't die after 14 months of light usage. No remedy offered except "buy a new one". Disappointed that it didn't last longer.

I really do not like this printer. It prints poorly, no matter how many times I try to clean/align the printer heads, there are missed lines. It's picky and gets paper jams no matter how many different kinds of paper I try. I am just waiting for it to konk out completely and move to a better brand (not just model).

WF-3540 All-in-One Printer
Having used it for three days, I am happy with unit. I only wish the print cartage were the same as the WF-2540. I just hope this printer last longer the WF-2540. I do appreciate the duplex feature.

This may be too soon to send a review as I have only had the printer a couple of days. So far, I love it. It was easy for me to set up the wireless connections (and I am network challenged). The directions were clear and I took advantage of the Epson online help videos ( more explicit than the quickie set up paper) to be sure I didn't mess up. I had an old USB cable which made (wireless) installation a bit easier, but it is NOT essential to have one to set up the printer for a wireless connection. (This is not mentioned when you first buy the printer! In fact, you are advised to buy that cable.) The output so far has been gorgeous! I have tried a number of paper types (but all standard sizes) and all output has been better than I'd expected. I did not need or want- but most scanner/printers seem to have the fax function included as did this, so as I so rarely need it, I have not set that up. The scanner / copier is great. Controls are easy to use and the copy SPEED is great. Again, the print quality is excellent.
I have not tried anything needing OCR and haven't looked to find it although something I read in the documentation said it is available. I hope so. ( The printer's PDF manual is fairly thorough.) The actual printer controls (in the computer software) are also easy to use and the format is pretty standard so I've been able to control my printing choices with no problems. I have read reviews that complain about the noise but it does not seem excessive or annoying to me. I have yet to use the multiple sheet paper feeder, the rear paper loader, double sided printing, or the special photo sized paper adjustments so am trusting they will work properly. As I prefer to print all photos/graphics from my computer rather than directly from cards or USB flash drives, I probably won't bother with those options/slots. I had hoped to be able to print business cards with this printer (my other printers have been basic home- lighter weight models) , but it seems that although this is supposedly a small business printer, it only lists lighter weight papers (approx 50 lbs or less) in the specs I could find -AFTER I'd purchased it, of course, not online in enough detail for my needs. I have no wish to push the paper weight limits, but wish I could find better info from Epson (who doesn't seem to recognize blank card papers) and many brands of those in stores are not labelled with that 9weight) info. Sigh. This drawback is a problem with Epson's labelling/information and not a flaw in the actual printer. ( I gave the printer itself a high rating- I would give Epson a slightly lower one for this reason.)
The ink seems to be lasting fairly well so far. I'm using the standard cartridges that came with the printer and despite my "new owner" flurry of printing, the icons tell me I still have plenty of ink remaining- thank goodness!
All in all, I am highly pleased with this printer and look forward to many years of good use.
I actually will use this equally for business and personal work. That option was not available in the "Use" options in this form.
