bad bulbs
Epson is having serious problems with their bulbs. Mine went out after 6 months, maybe 50 hours. They don't have any in stock and do not know when they will have any. Obviously a projector company should not run out of replacement bulbs unless their having to replace the majority of bulbs or they are looking for a different type bulb to use.

Epson 3020 Review
After days of extensive research, I decided to purchase this projector as an upgrade to my media room. I read the good, I read the bad and then decided to go ahead and try it. I am not disappointed! For the price, it is really incredible! I used a Playstation 3 and popped in Avatar in 3d and all I can say is WOW! I felt like I was at the iMax. I've owned several projectors and this one definitely gives you the bang for the buck! I've purchased and set up a lot of projectors where I work, and the Epsons have held up extremely well!

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 3020 3D 1080p 3LCD Projector is by far the best kept secret out there! I shopped for a 90+inch TV with 3D. There is not a better deal than Epson's offering. Too bad sellers such as BestBuy, H. H. Gregg, etc. don't have one set up for viewing, because they would not be able to keep them in stock. The color and brightness of my projector far exceeds my 42" HDTV.

Watching a 3D movie in an hour!
Our specific purpose is to project customer presentations showing our photography superimposed into their home environment, allowing them to decide on print sizes visually. The input files are 21MP hi-res photos so image quality, color reproduction and accurate screen representation is critical.
Having shopped around and done quite a bit of research, I chose this projector for the specs ($-for-lumens value), features (3D) and reliability based on brand perception and customer reviews. Brooks at BestBuy's Flatiron Mall Magnolia took the time to make sure I had all the right accessories (don't skimp on that HDMI!!) so I went home ready to go.
The most pleasant surprise of the whole experience is how easy this project is to set up. Projectors have come a long way. Out of the box and onto a stool (don't try this at home kids!), hook up HDMI to PS3, hang 106" screen from existing studio ceiling carabiners (whew, how lucky is that!) and we're watching iRobot in full 1080p 3D within the hour. The picture is better than anything I have ever experienced in any theater, 3D or otherwise. The experience is completely immersive.
Bonus detail: The speakers on this projector are insanely good for their size... actually for any sort of built in thing they are amazing. We've watched a few movies, TV, and played Doom 3 in 3D all with these speakers and they are great as long as you are behind the projector. Although we will be supplementing them with an audio system, for non-theater (presentation) use they are great.

This projector was very easy to set up and the images were beautiful. The 3D images were particularly impressive.
