I haven't had this scanner long enough to fully give a complete review. I did try it and it works very nice, better than I expected. Takes very little room and the results are clear and precise. I do not use a scanner much, but want one there when I have a need. This one seems to do nicely, but will no more after a few months.

Portable Scanner
I just hooked it up and used it for the first time. For it seemed super easy to use and set up my files. I am glad that we did this it will make our bill storage much better.

Epson DS-30 Scanner
Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. I have typewritten 17 years of my daily journal and am scanning it into my computer via the Epson Scanner. Since 2000, it is digital. I will complete my 17 years early in 2013.

I bought this scanner to use with Tranflo Now in cab scanning... PERFECT!!!!!

Pretty easy to set up, it has a nice easy to read image. It would be nice if it was a little easier to name and save the document.

Great Tool
We've just started using our scanner, but this little machine seems to work great. Very portable and easy to use. Can't wait to try some of it's other features!

DS-30 portable scanner
I bought this device because I wanted a scanner that took up very little desktop space...It does that very well.
The software is very easy to install and the usb hookup makes it virtually "dummy proof"...
It seems to work very well...I just use it for archiving massive amounts of papers and documents onto cd discs...Once in a while, I use it to print a copy of something I have to send to someone...It has done a good job so far and is user friendly right out of the box.
I like the product and I'm glad I bought it.

a little suggestion
I think the scanner is great except I have just spent hours copying things that are blank. Perhaps a simple instruction sheet would help. Right side down would have helped and saved me hours!

Epson DS-30
Product works as advertised. Very light weight; super potability. There has been a few "paper jams", not a huge issue, but is one of two issues preventing a 5 star rating. The other issue is sometimes the "button" doesn't launch the scan and the button needs to be pressed several times.
It would be nice if the software that accompanies the unit was a little more up to date.
Over a couple of days I was able to scan and "file" numerous documents relate to a second home I own. Bye, Bye paper!!!

Handy portable scanner
I like it. I can leave it attached to my computer and copy papers that would just stack up otherwise. It does a splendid job even with photos that require higher resolution.
