The set up went smoothly. Little bit of printing I did went smoothly; so far, so good. I’ve had several Epson printers over the years and all have produced wonderful prints of my art work. Looking forward to continuing in that tradition with my new Artison 1430. MATLACHART

Rated 4 out of 5 by Douglas R Better than the 1270
I use the printer to make proofs of my pictures and used to use the Epson 1270 and thought it was super, the 1430 is better.

Rated 2 out of 5 wireless printing is tricky
this printer prints beautifully, but we got it so that our office's computers could print wirelessly... and it has only established a wireless connection with 2 computers. The other 2 computers can't print on it no matter how many times we install the software. It's a real pain. A busy NYC office doesn't have time to spend fixing a temperamental printer.

My first experience with Epson Hi Rez printers started with the R280 which was to me, the best thing since sliced bread. I ruined it when I spilled a conductive liquid into it. In an effort to find a replacement, I ended up with the A50. It proved a worthy replacement. I have always wanted a wider format than 8.5" and have been drooling over the 3880. When I saw the results of the 1430 I used at work, especially at the price from the Epson Store, I could not wait any longer. Like the A50, the prints come out lab quality. Of course you have to use good paper, but, Epson also has that covered. I have printed pictures 8.5" wide by 44" long and they are stunning. If you use a decent camera, not cellphone camera, you can turn some heads with this printer. This printer is very versatile in what it can so besides print snapshots. If you think you need an all in one scanner - printer, think about a V550 as a work mate for this printer. Great res, does slides and negatives also. This printer is a Photographers dream. I am sure you will still take some to the lab, but not vary many. Have fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Davegenn55 Buy the beast
If your looking for a printer to print a picture that looks good by all means go ahead and buy that 3 color ink let printer, you know, the ones that everyone uses, If your looking for a printer that the pros use and have more control with 6 or more colors then look no further.
I have been using Epson printers for as long as I can remember, as a matter of fact I still have one of my first Epson printers, my old 777 3 color printer and it still works great.
If your like me you take pictures of your life, your kids, vacations and special times in your life that you want to have for ever.
With Epson printers and Epson inks your pictures will last a lifetime.
Whenever someone asks me what I recommend the answer is always Epson, but not just the printers and inks, if you want pictures that look like you had them done at a photo lab use everything Epson, right down to the Epson photo paper.
Trust me when I say it's Epson all the way !!

Rated 2 out of 5 by julieta too good to be true!
Everything was going great until about month 3 of daily use. I suddenly started having major issues on all fronts. Print quality declined, constant clogs and realignments needed, paper feed started failing, etc. even the wifi connection started shutting of mid print (strictly a printer issue b/c none of my other wifi enabled devices had problems). A product that starts failing after just 3 months of use is, in my opinion, one of poor quality! I really loved this printer initially, but my number one requirement is reliability and I just don't know that I can still trust it to print when I need to, how I need it to! I really wanted this to work out :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ron Good purchase so far.
Easy to install. It took a total of 45 minutes to unpack, set up, install software and start printing. Great colors and the wide format is nice. This is my second Epson photo printer. The first one lasted eleven years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Patti H Great printer with much versatility
Clear sharp print, text and photos. Used it to print non-standard sized invitations and matching envelopes, 11x17" newsletters, and standard printing. As of this writing it appears the ink usage is better than other printers. That's important because of the six ink cartridges.
Network connectivity provided a few challenges mainly due to user error. Second try worked seamlessly.
It was money well spend.

You are not a professional if you are not using Epson products! I have been using only Epson products for the past 20 years. My prints stands out because they are 100% quality. The Artisan is affordable and out performs competitors higher priced models. I am an Epson client for life.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MplsDesigner A Horrible Experience
Worked for a day or two initially. Wasted EXPEN$IVE Epson ink and paper trying to print a 26 page catalog proof for a client. Just got off the phone with support. They're sending a new one. I will turn around and return it to Amazon. I will buy a competitor's product.
