The first problem I had with the XP-850 was that I had to clean the heads close to 20 time before I was able to get close to proper test result and then more to get semi clean picture.
Now the printer keeps having trouble recognizing the ink cartridges that we sent with it.
So nothing but problems, after great perfomance with the Artisan 800,

I just got this printer two weeks ago and I really love it. I can print from my I phone or I pad from anywhere. I love the way it opens automatically . Have not found anything I don't like

I use this unit mostly for printing photos and copying photos. It does great at both tasks.
Because it has it's own screen, it can be used in stand-alone mode, but I still have the computer hooked up to it in case I want to copy something interesting from the computer.
Photos can be printed in any sheet size.

Great printing, bad mechanics!
This is the 3rd one of these I've had. Epson finally sent me a NEW one this time instead of the re-furbished ones they usually send out for replacement printers. I'm hoping they have fixed the ink distribution system in the newer one. The other ones would go thru the starter cartridges just fine, but the nightmare started when you tried to replace them with regular cartridges. Never would give me a clean nozzle check after that! No good prints, either. Both other printers! Now, I see they have a new model out, the 950, same specs, even same price! I bet it's just an 850 with the ink distribution system fixed. They, however, would NOT exchange the 850 for the 950 even if I said I would give them some more money for the exchange! I also saw post after post on the web about the same problem, which Epson denies are there! They have to know, I'm not stupid. Anyway, I'll find out if they've fixed anything when I start replacing ink. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because when it prints right, the prints are really good, but after spending almost $200 on ink for 2 other printers and using it ALL in head cleaning, I'm NOT very happy!

I like this all in one printer. It is fast and prints very good copy. I am still trying to figure how to upload pictures from my camera chips. since it runs wireless it is new for me. Overall I would rate it a 4 stars

When the printer is working , it does a decent job.
I have had two occasions in the last six months were the quality of printing all of a sudden got terrible...requiring at least five head cleanings to restore a good print.....using a vast amount of expensive ink. In my opinion Printers should print.....no excuses...they should PRINT...not fail in only a few months of use !!!!!!! In my opinion this is NOT a dependable unit !!!!!!

When my XP-350 works, it produces very good quality photo prints - crisp, good color & detail. Text quality has not been as crisp as my other brand all-in-one printer. Unfortunately within the last 6 months I have had to return 2 XP-350s to Epson for replacement. In both cases the print head malfunctioned. I am hoping number 3 is the charm. Customer Service has been excellent, but I would like no more problems.

This printer is fast and prints excellent photos. WiFi set up was a snap. The only thing that I am somewhat dissatisfied with is the paper feed. It's a bit sloppy. This doesn't matter for printing text, but I frequently make my own greeting cards and the bit of slop in the paper feed sometimes leads to an image not placed properly for the fold in the card stock.
