EX5220 Wireless XGA 3LCD Projector
Not so easy setup!?
This is our second Epson product. The first is still working but we needed a Wireless projector to go with the new Laptop with Windows 8.1. After five hours, one and a half of which we where on with Epson help, we got it to connect. The guy did a great job with us on the phone walking us through the steps needed to make it work. Turns out that we had to do a bunch of stuff on to the Laptop to get it to talk with the projector. The Epson guy said we would only have to do it once. We hope that is the case. He said it would be very easy with older versions of Microsoft. It is not however with 8.1. If you are good at computers it wont be a problem for you but if you are not real good at them it will take a while! Once it came on it was great. love the features and great picture.

Very good projector for classroom and meeting
You do not need to dim the room light to show the sharp contrast and details of your presentation slides or videos. The price is so low that no other deal can beat it. Plus, you can go wireless from your cell phone。 Many more good features, like adjusting the projected frame into perfect rectangular (no matter what is the angle of the project with respect to the screen) by a simple sliding bar. You will love it, especially if you ever owned any other brands, you know this is the best at this price!

Very strong light and excellent keystone control. First time used in a well lit classroom at about a 45 degree angle and it looked great. I used my iPad and connected via wireless LAN that came with projector. Setup was a bit tricky and I had to call support, but they got me through it in about 5 minutes.

1.The instruction manual is poor. What are the differences between the USB,and other cables.? Which should I use?. The main cable won't fit into my sony combined computer-video screen.
I am unable to download the epson projector software--the program is blocked. I will have to pay Staples to downlioad the software- why don't you have a cd disk for this, like most software does?

EX5220 Wireless Capability
It's a nice machine but I was thinking I could use the wireless feature with other software--like Powerpoint. You can only project wirelessly through the Epson proprietary "iProjector" app. I bought it thinking it would work wirelessly with Powerpoint.

Sharp image and wireless
very good quality. Projects on to the screen with sharp images. One issue I had was the wireless does not work with powerpoint when using speaker notes. Speaker notes will not show up on your computer. I bought the project because of this feature. I id have one problem when it stopped working in the middle of the presentation. However, I shut it down and restarted it. This happen just once.

Good color projection good weight.
However does not have functionality that I bought it for. Could not connect to it wirelessly without loosing wireless connection to my wireless network!

This is my first projector, limited experience in using this kind of device, no experience in set-up. Projector works great, some "hot smell" during the first 30 minutes of operation. I don't like the fact that a hard copy manual is not included; need to create a link to download or read the manual.
Projector has several input options, after one hour, the only input option I could use was the was the HDMI cable, unable to get the USB cable or the flash drive to work (hence the desire for the printed manual).
After this experience, I am not looking forward to attempting to "project wirelessly."
Projector was well packaged and included a basic carrying case.

I bought this computer because I thought I could use a jump drive feature on the projector... eliminating the need for a computer. I found out when attempting to use it that the jump drive would not show Word documents or excel...only JPG according to your technology support team.
Guess it is my fault for not asking enough questions. Bought it at a Staples store. I did not have enough expertise to ask the right questions!
Nice projector, but jump drive feature that drew me to purchase it did not function they way I understood it would work.

My First And Last Epson Product
My first Epson product was defective right out of the box. It was expensive and I needed it the next day for a presentation. It was plugged in the same evening of the purchase where the blue power light began blinking (it is supposed to be solid) and the lamp light was blinking (it should not be on at all) The store was closed. The website indicated that the brand new projector was defective. I took it back the next day for a full refund. Once a brand new product is bad right out of the box, a negative perception about all products from that company is deeply inbedded into the memory. I won't use Epson any more ever.
