Q: The message Rosetta must be installed appears when I try to install my Epson driver(s) in Mac OS X 10.6.x. What should I do?
A: You’ll need to install Rosetta in Mac OS X 10.6.x by doing one of the following:
- Follow these instructions if your Macintosh is connected to the internet:
- Click OK or Install when you see a window that prompts you to install Rosetta. Rosetta is installed automatically.
- If you see the Epson menu, open the Epson pop-up menu and select Quit.
- Install the Epson drivers from the Epson software CD or download the software from the Drivers & Downloads page for your product.
- Follow these instructions if your Macintosh is not connected to the internet:
- If you see the Epson menu, open the Epson pop-up menu and select Quit.
- Insert the Apple OS X 10.6 DVD into your Macintosh.
- Open the Optional Installs folder.
- Double-click Optional Installs.mpkg.
- Check only the Rosetta box and click Continue.
- Click Close when you see the screen below.
