Q: The message Rosetta must be installed appears when I try to install my Epson driver(s) in Mac OS X 10.6.x. What should I do?

A: You’ll need to install Rosetta in Mac OS X 10.6.x by doing one of the following:

  • Follow these instructions if your Macintosh is connected to the internet:


    1. Click OK or Install when you see a window that prompts you to install Rosetta. Rosetta is installed automatically.


    2. If you see the Epson menu, open the Epson pop-up menu and select Quit.




    3. Install the Epson drivers from the Epson software CD or download the software from the Drivers & Downloads page for your product.



  • Follow these instructions if your Macintosh is not connected to the internet:


    1. If you see the Epson menu, open the Epson pop-up menu and select Quit.




    2. Insert the Apple OS X 10.6 DVD into your Macintosh.


    3. Open the Optional Installs folder.




    4. Double-click Optional Installs.mpkg.




    5. Check only the Rosetta box and click Continue.




    6. Click Close when you see the screen below.

Q: How do I Add my Epson network printer using Bonjour in the Print & Fax window?

A: Do the following:
  1. Open System Preferences, then select Print & Fax


  2. Click the +
    3. button. You see an Add Printer window listing the printers found on the network. You printer’s name will appear as EPSONxxxxxx.

  3. Select your printer and click the Add button in the bottom right corner of the Add Printer window.

Q: How do I access a memory card inserted in the product over a network/WiFi connection?

A: Make sure your product is connected to the network and the printer software is installed on the computer. Then follow these steps:
  1. Open the Hard Drive.


  2. Select Shared.




  3. Select the network printer.


  4. Double-click Memory Card.
