Manually Install Windows 8 Drivers


If the in-box driver does not automatically install after you've powered on and connected your printer to your Windows 8 computer, follow the instructions below to install the driver manually.

  1. Power on your printer and make sure it is connected to your Windows 8 computer.
  2. Power on your Windows 8 Computer.
  3. Click the Desktop icon/tile on the Start screen.
  4. Note: The Desktop icon/tile image and location may vary.

  5. Right-click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
  6. Click Hardware and Sound.
  7. Click Devices and Printers.
  8. Click Add a Printer.
  9. If your printer does not appear on the Add Printer window, click The printer that I want isn't listed.
  10. Choose your connection type (Add a local printer or network with manual settings).
  11. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
