Q: |
Can I select a print resolution by indicating a specific dpi (dots per inch) setting? |
A: |
No. The print resolution is determined by other driver software settings. In Windows, the Quality Option and paper Type settings determine the print resolution. - If you’ve selected the Main tab, you’ll see the window below.

- If you’ve selected the Advanced tab, you’ll see the window below.

In Mac OS X, the resolution settings depend on the Mode setting: Note: To access the resolution settings in Mac OS X, select Print from the File menu. Then select Print Settings from the pull-down menu. - If you’ve selected Automatic as the Mode setting, the resolution is determined by the Media Type setting and the position of the Quality/Speed slider.

- If you’ve selected Advanced as the Mode setting, the resolution is determined by the Media Type setting and the Print Quality setting.
