What are the system requirements for using the printer with my computer?
A:
See the requirements below for your computer system:

Windows
  • A Microsoft Windows compatible PC


  • Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, or Windows Vista


  • 512MB RAM for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition


    • 1GB RAM for Windows Vista

  • 250MB or more free hard disk space


  • 4× or faster CD-ROM drive for installing the software


  • A Windows-compliant USB port and shielded USB ”AB“ cable up to 6.5 feet (2 meters) long (not required for network connections). Using an improperly shielded USB cable may cause the printer to malfunction.

Macintosh
  • An Apple Macintosh computer


  • Mac OS X 10.3.9, 10.4.11, or 10.5.x


  • 512MB RAM or higher for Mac OS X 10.3.9 and 10.4.11


    • 1GB RAM or higher for Mac OS X 10.5.x

  • 250MB or more free hard disk space


  • 4× or faster CD-ROM drive for installing the software
