My scanner box specifies that the bit depth rate is 48-bit internal/external, but the on-line user’s guide lists the image data as 16-bit per pixel per color (internal/external). Which specification is correct? |

They are both correct; they just describe the technology differently. The scanner uses 3 colors to create the image (red, green, and blue). Each color uses 16-bits, which add up for a total 48-bit depth. |
