Epson Zip-100S (SCSI)

Selected FAQ

Q:
Why doesn't my printer or scanner work correctly when it is connected to the pass-through port on the zip drive?
A:
The Zip drive will not allow a full bi-directional signal to pass through for printers that require this type of signal.A regular dot-matrix may work but most ink-jet printers or network adapters or scanners will not work properly through a Zip drive. You can obtain a good quality A/B switch and attach both peripherals to the parallel port or, even better, install a second parallel interface card for LPT2.

There is a new Guest driver optimized for Windows 95 available from Iomega. It supports low voltage parallel ports and other windows 95 features. Iomega has numerous documents concerning the Zip drive available too.

Upgrades to drivers and programs are available (but not supported by the Epson Connection) from Iomega on-line services.
