Epson Stylus Color Ink Jet Printer

Selected FAQ

Q:
Why does the Stylus COLOR print faster from the PC than from a Macintosh?
A:
The printing architectures of the PC and the Macintosh are quite different. A lot more processing is required on the Macintosh to print a page. In addition, the Macintosh uses a serial interface to transfer information to the printer. A PC uses a parallel interface (much faster) to connect to the printer. To attempt to speed up printing on the Macintosh, try turning Background Printing OFF, set Virtual Memory to its default setting, allocate more memory to the application you are using, allocate more memory to the Epson Monitor (only if Background Printing needs to be ON), set Cache between 256K to 512K.
