When the printer's Maintenence light flashes, an ink cartridge is low on ink. This is a good time to make sure you have a new cartridge handy. When the Maintenence light stays on, a cartridge is empty and you need to replace it. Check the LCD display codes on the printer to see which cartridge is low or empty. ILc = Color Low IEc = Color Empty ILb = Black Low IEb = Black Empty If you're printing from your computer, you'll see a message telling you which cartridge is low or empty.
