Why does EPSON recommend having the latest firmware on the printer?
A:
Firmware updates supply enhancements and corrections to keep your printer compatible with updated drivers, software, and operating systems. The Stylus Pro 7600/9600 printers use flash firmware, so it can be updated by end users via a PC or Macintosh. To perform the update, you need the Printer Service Utility and the latest firmware files. Both are available for download from EPSON's support site.
