Q:
I'm having trouble installing Print Artist? How should I install it correctly?
A:
First, ensure that no applications (programs) are running in the background during installation. If so, close them as an application error can occur; press Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys to bring up the "Close Program" box. Close everything EXCEPT "Explorer" (if you close Explorer, Windows will restart). To close a program, highlight it and click on "End Task". The Close Program box will disappear each time. You will need to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys again to bring it back up.

Second, when installing Sierra Print Artist and you get to the Test Screen (where it asks if you want to test the system), select NO and continue to install even though the test screen may come back and say that the system has failed. The application should install with no problems.

If you're still having problems, try installing the Color Pak programs (Adobe Photo Deluxe and Sierra Print Artist) separately. Please follow the steps listed below:

1. To install Adobe Photo Deluxe, click on 'Start' 'Run'.
2. In the 'Open' field, type D:\PHOTODLX\INSTALL\SETUP.EXE and click on 'OK'.
3. Once the installation is complete, you are ready to install the Sierra Print Artist.
4. To install Sierra Print Artist, click on 'Start' 'Run'.
5. In the 'Open' field, type D:\PRINTART\SETUP.EXE and click on 'OK'.
6. Once the installation is complete, you are ready to use both programs.
