Epson Stylus Photo 2200 Ink Jet Printer

Selected FAQ

When I print from the Windows XP Picture and Fax Viewer using the Photo Printing Wizard, my prints look too dark. What is wrong?
Some Epson printer drivers produce darker output from the Windows XP Photo Printing Wizard with Service Pack 2 (SP2) when used with their default color settings. We will be updating the drivers to correct this problem and posting them on the Epson Support Website for downloading.

The updated driver is available for the Stylus Photo 2200. For the best printing results, please download the driver from the Downloads page and install it on your system. (If you are not sure you have the latest Epson driver, you should go ahead and download the update.)

If you don’t want to download and install the new driver, you can also follow the procedure below to change your printer driver so it allows you to print correctly from the Photo Printing Wizard.

1. At the Printing Options screen of the Photo Printing Wizard, click on Printing Preferences as shown below:

2. You see your printer’s properties page. Select your Quality and Paper Options and then click the Advanced button on the Main page.

3. On the Advanced Properties page, check ICM and make sure that No Color Adjustment is NOT selected.

4. Click OK.
