Q:
I just bought the printer but I do not have a CD-ROM drive on my computer. How can I load the driver?
A:
If you have access to another computer with a CD-ROM drive, you can create printer driver installation diskettes from the CD-ROM. You must, however, have a CD-ROM drive to install and use EPSON Digital PhotoLab. To create the printer driver diskettes for use with Windows 3.1x, prepare two blank formatted diskettes and label them "diskette 1" and "diskette 2". For Windows 95 or 98, prepare five blank formatted diskettes (three diskettes for the driver and two diskettes for the Status Monitor 2) using the same naming convention. For Windows NT 4.0, prepare four blank formatted diskettes using the same naming convention. Then, run the driver installation program, click the "Make Diskettes" button when you see the "EPSON Setup CD" window, and follow the instructions on the screen. When the PC disk creation utility is complete, you will be able to use the PC diskettes to install the printer driver. To create printer driver diskettes for use with a Macintosh, prepare two blank formatted diskettes and label them "Disk 1" and "Disk 2". On each disk title, use a capital "D" and a space between "Disk" and the number. Then, copy all of the icons in the "Disk 1" folder on the CD-ROM to the diskette you labeled "Disk 1" and copy all of the icons in the "Disk 2" folder on the CD-ROM to the diskette you labeled "Disk 2". At this point you can use the Macintosh diskettes to install the driver. If you do not have access to any computer with a CD-ROM drive, the driver can be downloaded from the Internet. If you are not able to download the driver, you may contact the EPSON Connection to request a driver. A shipping and handling charge may be applied to drivers sent by mail.
