By installing a Single In-line Memory Module (SIMM), you can increase printer memory up to 13 MB (printer default 2MB + optional 4, 8 or 16 MB). You may want to add additional memory if you are having difficulty printing complex graphics or if you regularly use numerous downloaded fonts. Please refer to your user's manual for installation instructions. Note: The maximum amount of memory is 13 MB. Even though a 16 MB SIMM is installed, only 13 MB is accessible.
