Q:
How do I scan a photo without scanning the entire scanner glass?
A:
Use the Thumbnail preview option when you scan. The option is available only in Home or Professional Mode.

See below for instructions.

Home Mode

  1. Place your original(s) on the scanner glass.


  2. Start Epson Scan and select Home Mode if necessary.


  3. Select Photograph as the Document Type. Click the Thumbnail check box.




  4. Click Preview. Your photo is selected automatically as the scan area with a blue marquee.




  5. Select Scan, then click OK.


Professional Mode

  1. Place your original(s) on the scanner glass.


  2. Start Epson Scan and select Professional Mode if necessary.


  3. Select Document Table as the Document Source and select Photo as Auto Exposure Type.


  4. Click the Thumbnail check box.




  5. Click Preview. Your photo is selected automatically as the scan area with a blue marquee.




  6. Select Scan, then click OK.
