Q:
How do I configure Epson Scan Settings?
A:
Make sure you've installed the Epson Scan software and connected the product to your computer or wireless network. (If the product is connected wirelessly, the green WiFi light on the front of the product should be on.) Then follow the steps below to configure Epson Scan Settings.

  1. Launch Epson Scan Settings.

Note: If you see a message that Epson Scan cannot be started, click No to the message(s).

  2. Make sure the product is selected as the scanner.

  3. Make sure the Connection setting is set correctly. Select Local if the product is connected to your computer with a USB cable, or Network if the product is connected to a network.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • If you selected Local for the Connection setting, skip the remaining steps.

    • If you selected Network for the Connection setting, print a network status sheet, and continue with the next step.

  5. Make sure your scanner appears under Network Scanner Address with the correct IP address. (The printer's IP address can be found on the printed network status sheet.)

  6. Do one of the following:

    • If your product appears under Network Scanner Address with the correct IP address, skip the remaining steps.

    • If your product does not appear under Network Scanner Address with the correct IP address, continue with the next step.

  7. Click Add. The Add window appears.

  8. Make sure Search for address is selected, then select the IP address that appears.

    Note:
It may take a few moments for the IP address to appear. If more than one IP address appears, be sure to select the one that matches your product's IP address.

If you have a firewall or Internet security software installed, the search feature may not work correctly. In this case, click Enter address, and enter the IP address manually.

  9. Click OK as necessary to save your changes and exit Epson Scan Settings.
