To use your all-in-one and its software, your computer system should meet or exceed the requirements listed below.
Windows Requirements
- Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional x64, or Windows XP
- USB 1.1 port (minimum) or USB 2.0 port (recommended) and a shielded USB "AB" cable up to 6.5 feet (2 meters) long required for a USB connection. Using an improperly shielded USB cable may cause your Epson printer to malfunction. USB port and cable are not required for a wireless or wired network connection. However, temporary use of a USB port and cable is recommended to install the printer on a wireless network.
- An Ethernet cable is required for a wired network connection (connecting the all-in-one to any available LAN port on your router, access point, or hub). The cable is not required for a USB or wireless network connection.
Macintosh
- Mac OS X 10.4.11, 10.5.8, or 10.6
- USB 1.1 port (minimum) or USB 2.0 port (recommended) and a shielded USB "AB" cable up to 6.5 feet (2 meters) long required for a USB connection. Using an improperly shielded USB cable may cause your Epson printer to malfunction. USB port and cable are not required for a wireless or wired network connection. However if you're using Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5, temporary use of a USB port and cable is recommended to install the printer on a wireless network.
