What should I do if I'm having problems installing the software? |

If the product is going to be connected directly to a computer with a USB cable, see USB connection below. If you're setting up the product on a network, see Wireless connection or Ethernet connection below depending on the how you want to connect the product to the network.
USB connection Make sure you followed the software installation instructions on the Start Here sheet. If the installation fails, make sure the product is turned on and the USB cable is securely connected at both ends. If you're still having problems, disconnect the USB cable and uninstall any components of the product software that may have been installed on your system. Follow the software installation instructions on the Start Here sheet again to reinstall your software. Before reinstalling the software, check for the following:
Wireless connection Before installing the software, make sure you set up your product as described on the Start Here sheet. Then follow the wireless network setup instructions in the Quick Guide. If the installation fails, see Network Problems. If you're still having problems, uninstall any components of the product software that may have been installed on your system. Carefully follow the installation instructions in the Quick Guide again to reinstall the software. (You must install the software on each computer that will print to the product.) Before reinstalling the software, check for the following:
Ethernet connection Before installing the software, make sure you set up your product as described on the Start Here sheet. Then follow the wired (Ethernet) network setup instructions in the Quick Guide. If the installation fails, make sure the product is turned on and the Ethernet cable connecting your product to the network router, access point, or hub is securely connected at both ends. Also see Network Problems for further troubleshooting information. If you're still having problems, uninstall any components of the product software that may have been installed on your system. Carefully follow the installation instructions in the Quick Guide again to reinstall the software. (You must install the software on each computer that will print to the product.)
