Yes. It takes about 2.5 minutes for the product to prime the ink delivery system when you install the first set of ink cartridges.

Note: Never turn off the product while it is charging the ink delivery system (unless the product hasn’t moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes). This initialization is a normal and necessary process. If the product initialization does not stop after 5 minutes, turn the product off and contact Epson technical support for assistance.
