Selected FAQ

Q:
How far can the projector be placed from the screen?
A:
The projector can be placed from 2.85 to 62.83 feet (0.87 to 19.15 m) from the screen. The distance the projector is placed from the screen determines the projected image size 30 to 300 inches (0.76 to 7.62 m). A utility to help calculate an image size or the projection distance is available from the Drivers & Downloads page for your projector.

Note: In order to view 3D images correctly, 3D glasses must be worn within proper range of the projector. Use the optional external 3D IR emitter if you cannot view the 3D image normally or if the projector is located more than 16.5 feet (5 m) from the viewing area.

The 3D viewing area may differ with non-Epson 3D glasses. Refer to the 3D glasses users guide or contact the manufacturer for the ideal 3D viewing range.

You can order the external 3D IR emitter (part number V12H484001) from the Epson Store or at an Epson Service Center. See the Epson Service Center locator on the Contact Support page for your projector.
