Q:
I am getting an ink recognition error after inserting the ink cartridges provided with the printer. What should I do?
A:
Do the following:
  1. Press the OK button.
  2. Lift up the scanner unit.

    3. Caution: Do not move the print head by hand; otherwise, you may damage your product. Do not touch the flat white cable inside the printer.

    Caution: Do not lift up the scanner unit when the document cover is open.

  3. Remove all ink cartridges. (Squeeze the tab on each cartridge and lift the cartridge straight up to remove it.

    Note: Make sure you have removed the yellow tape from the side of the ink cartridge.

  4. Insert the ink cartridges into the holder and push down each ink cartridge until it clicks into place. (If a cartridge is properly seated already, you may not hear a click.
  5. Lower the scanner unit.

  6. Press the OK button. The printer will start charging the inks.
