Q:
Why does scanning take so long?
A:
Try the following:
  • Try scanning your original at a lower resolution setting to speed up scanning.


  • Certain options and image adjustments, such as Searchable PDF and Dual Image Output, can add processing time to the scan.


  • Computers with USB 2.0 (high speed) ports can transfer data faster than those with USB 1.1. Therefore, the scanning time may be shorter if you use a computer with a USB 2.0 port. If you are using a USB 2.0 port with your scanner, make sure it meets the System Requirements.
