Q:
After I install a new ink cartridge, a color is missing when I perform a nozzle check. Is the cartridge bad or is there something wrong with my printer?
A:
Check for the following possible causes:
  • Make sure the recently installed ink cartridge is properly installed. It should click and lock into position when installed.


  • Check the paper thickness lever setting. It should be in the normal position. If it was in the envelope position, set it to standard and perform a cleaning cycle.


  • If after reseating the ink cartridge and performing an additional cleaning cycle the problem continues, replace the ink cartridge.


  • If the problem continues with the new ink cartridge, contact EPSON Technical Support. Your printer may need to be serviced.
