Q:
How do I restore the color in my photos as I scan them?
A:
You can use the Color Restoration feature in Epson Scan. This feature will automatically restore printed photos, film, or slides as you scan them.

Note: Color Restoration may be used in Home and Professional Mode only.

Color Restoration in Home Mode
  1. Place your original(s) on the scanner glass. See Placing Originals on the Product for instructions.


  2. Start Epson Scan.


  3. In the Home Mode window, select the Document Type, Image Type, and Destination settings.


  4. Click Preview to preview your image(s). The Preview window appears and displays your image(s)


  5. Click the Color Restoration check box.




  6. Note: If you are scanning multiple images at the same time and you want to apply the Color Restoration feature to all of your image(s) or scan area(s), click All in the Preview window before you click the check box.

  7. Make any other necessary image adjustments.


  8. Click Scan.
Color Restoration in Professional Mode
  1. Place your original(s) on the scanner glass. See Placing Originals on the Product for instructions.


  2. Start Epson Scan.


  3. In the Professional Mode window, select the Document Type, Document Source, Auto Exposure Type, Image Type, and Resolution settings.


  4. Click Preview to preview your image(s). The Preview window appears and displays your image(s).


  5. Scroll down to the Adjustments area and click the Color Restoration check box.




  6. Note: If you are scanning multiple images at the same time and you want to apply the Color Restoration feature to all of your image(s) or scan area(s), click All in the Preview window before you click the check box.

  7. Make any other necessary image adjustments.


  8. If you want to make more precise color adjustments, click the Color Palette icon.


  9. Size your image(s) as necessary.


  10. Click Scan.
