How do I add my printer as an IP printer on my Mac?
Do the following:
  1. Open the menu and select System Preferences > Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

  2. Click +, then select IP on the tool bar. Select a protocol. If you do not know which protocol to choose, leave it on Line Printer Daemon-LPD.

  3. Click in the Address: field and enter your printer's IP address. While your Mac establishes the connection, you'll see the message Gathering printer information....

  4. Click Add after your printer appears in the Use: field. This creates your printer queue. If your printer does not appear in the Use: field, select Auto Select from the dropdown box.
