Q:
How can I share my Epson printer between two Windows computers?
A:
Make sure both computers are connected to the same network by viewing the network folder on each computer. If the computers are connected to the same network, you should be able to see the other computer. Also make sure the printer driver is installed on both computers.

First Computer:

  1. After installing the printer driver, do the following:

    • Windows 8.x: Navigate to the Apps screen and select Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers.
    • Windows 7: Click and select Devices and Printers.
    • Windows Vista: Click and select Control Panel (or point to Settings and then select Control Panel). Select Printer (under Hardware and Sound) or Printers.
    • Windows XP: Click Start, and select Control Panel (or point to Settings and then select Control Panel). Select Printers and Other Hardware (if available) and then Printers and Faxes.

  2. Right-click your printer icon and then select Properties or Printer Properties.
  3. Click the Sharing tab and select Share this printer (Windows 7: click Change Sharing Options first).
  4. Enter a name in the Share name field and click OK.

Second Computer:

  1. After installing the printer driver, do the following:

    • Windows 8.x: Navigate to the Apps screen and select Computers > Network.
    • Windows 7: Click and select Computers > Network.
    • Windows Vista: Click and select Network.
    • Windows XP: Click Start and select My Network Places.

  2. Double-click your computer icon to open it. If prompted for a username and password, enter them.
  3. Right-click the shared printer and click Connect.
