Q:
How do I print borderless photos from my Mac OS X 10.3.4 or Windows XP system to my Stylus Photo 2200 using my Epson StylusRIP Professional 2.0 software?
A:
Verify that you have met the following conditions, which are necessary for borderless printing:
  • Create a custom paper size (instructions are listed below).
  • Select Semimatte Paper at 720 x 720 and above or Semigloss paper at 1440 x 720 and above.
  • Enable the Borderless setting in the driver.
  • Make sure Photo Black Ink is installed in your printer. Photo Black Ink must be installed.
Mac OS X 10.3.4
  1. Create a custom paper size.
  2. Click the Settings pull-down menu and select Custom Paper Size.
  3. Click New and give your paper size a name (for example, LT Borderless).
  4. Enter the Height and Width dimensions.

    The width and height dimensions on your custom paper size must exceed the size of the image by 0.24 inches. For example, for a Letter-size paper, the width should be 8.74 inches and the height should be 11.24 inches.


    5. Note:
    The Borderless feature in the postscript driver does not expand the image automatically like your standard driver, so the image size must match or exceed the size of the custom paper size you created. If the software program has an option available to fit the image to the size of the page, such as Scale to fit media size, then by enabling that option your image size will automatically expand to the size of your page.

  5. Set all 4 margins to zero (0). Click Save, then click OK.
  6. Go to the Page Setup and select your new paper size and the paper orientation you would like to use. Then click OK.
  7. Click Print, select Print Settings from the pull-down menu, and choose your media type and resolution.
  8. Click the Others tab from the Print menu and enter a check in the borderless check box.
  9. Click Print to begin printing.
Windows XP
  1. Go to Properties.
  2. Click the Layout tab.
  3. Click the Advanced button.
  4. Under the Paper Size setting, select .... Postscript Custom Page Size.
  5. Enter your Height and Width dimensions.

    The width and height dimensions on your custom paper size must exceed the size of the image by 0.24 inches. For example, for a Letter size paper your width should be set to 8.74 inches and your height should be set to 11.24 inches.


    6. Note:
