How do I install the Epson StylusRIP Professional 2.0 in Windows XP or Windows 2000?

Install the EPSON Stylus Photo 2200 printer driver before installing the StylusRIP Professional software. See Install Software on the Stylus Photo 2200 Start Here sheet.

StylusRIP Professional 2.0 uses the port assigned to the Epson Stylus Photo 2200 Windows printer driver. For example: If the destination port of the Epson Stylus Photo 2200 driver is LPT1, StylusRIP Professional 2.0 will also use LPT1 as its printer port.

Follow these steps to install the PSserver:

  1. Make sure Windows is running.


  2. Insert the CD-ROM.


  3. The Choose Setup Language dialog box appears automatically.

  4. Note:(If the dialog box does not appear, double-click Setup.exe in the Setup folder on the CD-ROM.)

  5. Select English and click OK.


  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.


  7. When the Install Shield wizard appears, select your printer and click Next.


  8. Follow the on-screen instructions.


  9. When the following dialog appears, click Finish




  10. The Add Printer wizard starts and PS driver installation begins. Click Next.


  11. Check Local printer in Local or Network Printer. (Do not check Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer.) Click Next.

  12. Select Use the following port, select StylusRIP and click Next.




  13. Select a printer model. Click Have Disk and specify the location of the INF file. The Windows 2000/XP INF file is saved in the following location on the CD-ROM:

    english\win2000-xp\ps_setup



  14. Click OK.


  15. Select the printer model an click Next.



  16. Follow the on-screen instructions.


  17. If you are sharing the printer on a network, check Share as: and enter the network printer name. If you are not sharing the printer, check Do not share this printer. Click Next. Then go to step 18.


  18. If you are sharing the printer, enter Location and Comment. Then click Next.


  19. In the Print Test Page window, select No and click Next.



  20. Click Finish.


  21. Click Continue.


  22. Click Finish and restart your computer. Now you can use the StylusRIP Professional 2.0 software.
