Q: |
How do I test the printer without using a computer? |
A: |
You can run a nozzle check to help determine if the Stylus is operating properly. Follow these steps: - Turn off the Stylus.
- If your computer is connected, disconnect the USB cable.
- Load plain paper in the sheet feeder.
- Hold down the
paper button, then press and release the power button. Continue holding down the paper button until the green power light begins to flash, then release it.
- A test page prints showing the printer’s ROM version number, an ink counter code, and a nozzle check pattern.
If the page is printed, your Stylus is operating properly. The problem may be caused by your computer, cable, software, or setting selections.
If the pattern on the page has gaps, clean or align the print head.
