Epson Stylus Photo RX700 All-in-One Printer

Check your all-in-one software CD to see if it already contains Windows Vista drivers. If the CD indicates support for Windows Vista, follow the instructions that came with your all-in-one to install your driver and other software.

If your CD does not indicate support for Windows Vista, DO NOT INSERT YOUR EPSON ALL-IN-ONE SOFTWARE CD IN YOUR WINDOWS VISTA COMPUTER because the setup program is not compatible with Windows Vista.

You need to download and install both the printer and scanner software for your all-in-one. Follow the steps below to install the printer driver and TWAIN Driver/Epson Scan Utility.

Install TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility

Note: If you see a window that says User Account Control at any point, click Continue.

1. Turn off the printer and disconnect the USB cable from the printer.



2. Go to the Drivers & Downloads page.



3. Download the TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility for Windows Vista. Make a note of the file name and save location so you can easily retrieve it.



4. Open the file you downloaded, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.



5. If you see a Windows Security window, click Install or Install this driver software anyway.
   
   
   
   
6. Click Finish when done.

Install Printer Driver

Note: We recommend that you install the TWAIN Driver and Epson Scan Utility as described in the preceding section before installing the printer driver.

1. Turn off the printer and disconnect the USB cable from the printer.



2. Go to the Drivers & Downloads page.



3. Download the Printer Driver for your version of Windows Vista: either Vista 32-bit or Vista 64-bit. Make a note of the file name and save location so you can easily retrieve it.


Note: To see which version of Windows Vista you have, click  Start > Computer > System Properties. Check the operating system type listed under the System heading.


4. Open the file you downloaded, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.



5. When prompted, reconnect the USB cable and turn on your printer.


Note: If you see a Found New Hardware screen, click Cancel. You can’t install your software that way.




6. Click OK when done.
