Epson Stylus Photo RX700 All-in-One Printer

Selected FAQ

Q:
Why are my margins incorrect?
A:
If you’re scanning, make sure you’ve aligned the document correctly. Place your document or photo in the upper-left corner of the glass, but make sure the top and left edges are about 1/8 inch away from the edges of the glass.

If you’re printing from your computer, the problem could be due to a software setting or the paper may be loaded incorrectly. See Incorrect margins.

If you’re printing web pages, use EPSON Web-To-Page. This software automatically adjusts web pages to fit your printed page. Click Print on the Web-To-Page toolbar in Internet Explorer to start printing. (Requires Windows XP, 98, Me, or 2000 with Internet Explorer 5.5 through version 6. Not for use with Internet Explorer 7, which has this functionality built-in.)
Otherwise, check to see if there is a Printer Friendly Version (or similarly named) icon or link on the web page that you can click on. If not, experiment with page setup and paper size, then select Print Preview from the File menu in your web browser to view the changes.

If you’re copying using the buttons on the RX700, the problem could be caused by any of the following:
  • The paper may be loaded incorrectly. See Loading paper.

  • Your document may not be aligned correctly. Place your document or photo in the upper-left corner of the glass, but make sure the top and left edges are about 1/8 inch away from the edges of the glass.

  • The Copy layout, Zoom In/Out, and Paper Size settings can all affect the size of the margins.

If you’re copying a photo, see Copying a Photo and Selecting a Copy Layout.

If you’re copying something else, see Copying Text and Graphics and Selecting a Copy Layout.
