Try the following: - Make sure the cable does not have a loose connection. To check the connection, turn the printer and computer off, reconnect the cable on the printer and computer, then turn the printer and computer back on.
- Use a fully shielded cable, preferably 6 feet or less in length.
- Replace the cable.
- Connect the cable and printer to another computer. If it works fine, have the computer port checked by an authorized dealer.
- Connect the printer to another computer. If the printer prints garbage from the other computer, it needs to be serviced.
