No. Before removing a memory card from the Epson Stylus CX8400 Series, makesure the memory card access light is not flashing. Do not remove a card whilethe card light is flashing, or you may lose data on the card.

If your Epson Stylus CX8400 Series is connected to your computer, you may need to do one of the following, depending on your operating system:

Operating system	Steps to take
Windows 2000	Click the  Unplug or Eject Hardware icon on the taskbar. Then click Stop USB Mass Storage Device.
Windows XP, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition	Click the  Safely Remove Hardware icon on the taskbar. Then click Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device.
Windows Vista	Click the  Safely Remove Hardware icon on the taskbar. Then click Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device.
Mac OS X	Drag the memory card icon from your desktop to the trash.
