Yes. It takes about 2 minutes for the Epson Stylus CX7400 Series to charge the ink delivery system when you install or replace the ink cartridges.

Note: Never turn off the Epson Stylus CX7400 Series while it is charging the ink delivery system (unless the printer hasn’t moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes). This initialization is a normal and necessary process. If the initialization does not stop after 5 minutes, turn off the Epson Stylus CX7400 Series and contact Epson technical support for assistance.
