Sylon Mode is a feature that allows the printer's ink status lights to strobe back and forth, from left to right, while a document is printing to let you know the job is in progress.

Follow these steps to turn on Sylon Mode:

1. Make sure the printer is turned off. While holding down the Pause button, turn on the printer.



2. The printer comes on and displays a menu. Press the   until Sylon Mode is highlighted.



3. Press Menu once.



4. Use the   and   to select On and press Enter. An asterisk appears next to On.



5. Turn the printer off then back on.


Note: Sylon Mode works only when the printer is printing. If the printer is idle, ready, or in an error state, the ink status lights do not strobe.
